Students of D.A.V. Public School, Khera Khurd visit the Yamuna Bio-diversity Park
Students of D.A.V. Public School, Khera Khurd, Delhi visited Yamuna Bio-diversity Park on 13th, 15th and 16th December 2011. Dr. Fayyaz, Scientist-in-charge and Ms. Niang, Education Officer helped the students to enrich their knowledge on variety of plants and animals. Students visited Butterfly conservatory where they observed the host plants of various types of Butterflies and Fruit-yielding plants conservatory comprising of various medicinal and fruit yielding plants like Meswak, Arjun, Pomegranate, Sapota and Indian berry(zizyphus). Students also went around the wetland area and were enthralled to see many migratory birds from Central Asia, Europe, China and Russia. The experts answered the questions put up by the students to enhance their previous information on migratory birds. A short film was also shown to them. The science teachers Ms. Jyotsna and Ms. Jaimala thanked the experts for their valuable inputs.
